Black Cats – They’re Not Scary!

3 Black Cats

3 Black Cats

Throughout history, black cats were believed to bring bad luck. An old superstition says if a black cat crosses your path, you’ll have bad luck. In many animal shelters, black cats are often overlooked or adopted as a last resort. Many shelters won’t allow black cats to be adopted around Halloween here in America. They’re afraid someone might harm or kill a black cat. These cats were also considered to be connected to witches and demons. In my personal experience, black cats are just like any other cat! Having owned 5 until the recent loss of our Bugsy, my cats all behave like normal cats. I’ve never had bad luck from them walking around across my path, ever. I hope you like these photos of my black cats. Maybe next time you visit an animal shelter to adopt a cat, you’ll look at a black cat as a first choice.
