Moving On . . .

So unfortunately, none of the chicken eggs in the incubator hatched. I cracked them open and found a tiny embryo in most of them, less than an inch long. Two of them were unfertilized. I’ve ordered 1 day old chicks from McMurray Hatchery, they should be here by April 20th. It was sad we didn’t experience an incubator hatch, but we’re looking forward to the arrival of our new babies!

On another note, we have a new fish! He’s a gorgeous Beta fish and I’ve never seen the type called Half Moon. His sides are pink, his fins are reddish-purple close to his body, and the outer fins are white. Right now, his name is Mr. Pink Pepper, ha ha. That may change, or we may just call him Mr. Pepper. Time will tell . . .
