Bugsy at Christmas 2014

Death is always painful and difficult. Our beautiful cat, Bugsy, died last night here at home. She dealt with so many health issues in her short life. She battled kidney disease for several years and I had to give her fluids every day to help manage that. She also had too much calcium in her system, which resulted in bone forming in between the bones in her paws (except for 1 back paw!) and needing pain meds to deal with this. Twice in her life she had heart trouble, once involving high blood pressure. She also had a condition some cats get called megacolon, which meant more medication to help her deal with that. Bugsy was an amazing cat, dealing with all these things and never letting them slow her down. She lived a full life in her short 8 years, and we wouldn’t have missed any of it. We know you’re waiting for us across the Rainbow Bridge, Bugsy. Hope you’re bossing everyone around with your huffing and growling! See you on the other side . . .

Hi Barb! Thanks so much for your sweet comments and for reading my post about Bugsy. At times it doesn’t even seem real that she’s gone. We definitely look forward to being with her again some day!
