Shade and Midnight

Shade in the clover

The two oldest of the group, at 10, are Shade and Midnight. They were born feral and I never saw their mother. I was told about them when they were 3 months old and were living on their own underneath a portable building at a park. I had to use a live trap to catch them and they were very frightened of us for many months.

Midnight is now the larger of the two, weighing in at 15 pounds. He was the smaller one when I caught them and had a collapsed lung, then later broke a front paw when he first went outside on his own after capture. Shade is smaller at 10 pounds and is very independent and enjoys being outside as much as possible during the day. I’m pretty sure Midnight often runs around the house once when I let him out in the morning, then wants to come back in right away. Silly boy!

Hi, thanks for checking out my blog! I’m working on the details, very new to blogging. Are you a cat lover specifically or an animal lover in general?
